Prophet Stair,

What has become of you?  How is it that one of the great prophetic voices of our day stands accused of the most vile of sexual sins?  Brothers and sisters in the faith, in both print and over the airwaves, testify of your lascivious behavior, and yet you remain uncharacteristically silent on the matter.  Your accusers are many, your defenders are few.  Those that bear witness against you are those of your own spiritual family.  Some are brothers that I have grown to love and respect from  your own broadcasts; brothers that have openly displayed towards you the love and regard that is due a true man of God.  Now they speak out, boldly condemning you for the violation of their wives, their daughters, and their trust.  And the man that is never at a loss for words has nothing to say about it.

There are many that have taken the opportunity of your degradation to denounce you as a false prophet.  In light of the great physical, emotional, and spiritual pain that your actions have wrought, this is understandable.  However, it is not the truth. You are indeed a prophet. Many erroneously believe that prophecy deals with predicting specific events within a finite time frame.  Even true prophets fall victim to making unfounded predictions, and, in fact, this is something I have heard you do myself.  I have also heard you carefully differentiate between predictions made on your own authority and the prophetic word that God himself puts within your mouth, and my purpose here is not to quote you out of context in order to deny your calling as a prophet.  Quite the contrary.  It is, rather, my task to inform you that the prophet of God that succumbs to sin as you have will be brought down.  God will not be mocked!

As you know, the true prophetic message is a cry for repentance.  Jonah truthfully prophesied that the wrath of God would fall upon the Ninevites, yet they repented and the hand of God was stayed.  Was Jonah a false prophet?  Hardly!  Jonah was one of the greatest of prophets because his preaching resulted in true repentance and saved souls, which is always God's objective.  Wanton destruction is the result of prophecy unheeded.  And so, when you prophesy that the United States of America will be destroyed due to unchecked sin, this is the prophetic truth of God and cannot be denied regardless of the sins of the prophet. Your indiscretions are merely another illustration of how deeply sin is rooted in our land.  Israel did not heed the warnings of the prophets, but continued to follow in the ways of the Canaanites, and so Assyria was raised up against her and utter destruction ensued.  America, too, follows the ways of Canaan and now, before our very eyes, Godless enemies are raised up against us and the fate of our nation hangs in the balance. What you have proven is that in our day even a prophet called by God can turn his back on the Lord and walk in the ways of the Canaanites.  If God will not tolerate such worldly, sinful behavior by our nation, then surely you must realize that he will not tolerate this kind of hypocrisy among His prophets.  You, sir, have destroyed your own witness and your judgment is at hand.  This is the message that I have been sent by God to proclaim to you.  If you do not publicly confess your sin and repent with all of your heart, mind, and soul, God's judgment will be upon you, final and irrevocable.  Your only hope is to leave the air, disband the Walterboro community, and seek after the forgiveness of the Lord Jesus and those that you have sinned against with all of your heart, mind and strength.

Your time is short and this is the last opportunity for grace that God is going to give you.  If you continue to try to bluff your way through this mess that you have made, the God that raised you up will surely and swiftly bring you down.  Step down, humble yourself and repent before God and man.  This is not about your office as prophet.  It is about your soul.  Prepare to meet your God.  Now.

Sincerely,
